Media and entertainment is one of the fastest growing industries globally. According to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Govt. of India, the total number of internet users in the country had reached 825.30 million at the end of March 2021. At present, India has the second largest internet users in the world after China according to Internet World Stats. It is pertinent to note that the Digital India Program launched by the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India, has given a significant boost to digital media in India by providing digital infrastructure as a core utility for every citizen, governance and services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens.

Hence, the rapid growth of industry in the era of new information and communication technologies has raised the demand of skilled manpower that has paved the way for exponential job opportunities and career prospects in this sector. Traditionally, mass media assumes significant importance and offers a huge range of career opportunities that each willing career prospective can find an area to clench on. One can explore opportunities in reporting, editing, photography, videography, anchoring, production, designing, proof reading, desktop publishing and many more in print as well as electronic media. Apart from this, one can search job prospects in advertising, public relations, corporate communication, event management and marketing communication. Boeing India Engineering is currently looking for Associate Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineer to join their team in Bangalore, Karnataka. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) and Boeing Global Services (BGS) business organizations.

A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration and shall work with the Engineering Manager, Project lead & structural analysts to develop the mechanical designs that will work in defined structural environment, characteristics and performance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • This position will be responsible to support mechanical design and analysis of wide range of mechanical structures and products.
  • This position will be responsible for coordinating and communicating regularly with team members in Boeing organizations and shall provide periodic update on project progress, quality metrics, project summaries, and other related documents.
  • In this role, the Engineer will work independently with minimum supervision to come up with conceptual and detailed designs based on the requirements. And Pro-actively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work.
  • This position will participate and support initiatives of Boeing India organization related to engineering excellence, employee development, customer engagement etc.
  • This position will be located in Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center, Bangalore, India.

Preferred Qualification:-

  • Good knowledge of New Product development process.
  • Knowledge of basics of stress analysis.
  • Basic understanding of aircraft certification processes and lifecycle.
  • Good understanding of GD&T
  • Knowledge of PDM/PLM tools such as ENOVIA or Team Center.
  • Able to verify accuracy of technical and non-technical data. Gathers relevant data for root cause analysis and produces changes to resolve the discrepancies in design packages.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional team. Must be willing to work flexible hours (early or late as needed) to interface with Boeing personnel around the world.
