About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Full Stack QA Engineer with strong experience in both manual and automation testing, specifically Playwright-based automation, across cloud-native applications and data pipelines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of scalable web applications and backend services deployed on AWS and Azure. You will play a critical role in test planning, developing automated test frameworks, validating data pipelines, and supporting continuous testing in CI/CD environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for full stack applications built on React, Node.js, Python, and optionally PHP.
• Develop and maintain end-to-end and UI automation frameworks using Playwright (mandatory).
• Automate end-to-end, API, regression, performance, and data pipeline testing using tools like Playwright, Selenium (optional), Cypress (optional), Postman, JMeter, and Py Test.
• Write and maintain unit and component tests for React applications using Jest, React Testing Library, and Enzyme.
• Work with Docker-based environments to ensure test consistency and reproducibility across environments.
• Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (AWS Code Pipeline, GitHub Actions).
• Ensure data quality and integrity in ETL processes using tools like AWS Glue, KNIME, and SSIS.
• Use SQL and NoSQL queries for backend validation of data, business logic, and ETL workflows.
• Support load, stress, and scalability testing of applications using JMeter, Artillery, or similar tools.
• Log detailed defect reports, collaborate with developers to triage issues, and ensure timely resolution.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in software testing for web applications with a strong focus on frontend/UI automation.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for UI and end-to-end test automation (mandatory).
• Solid experience testing React applications using Jest and React Testing Library (Enzymeoptional).
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for writing automated test scripts and mocking frontend behaviors.
• Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or Supertest, and validating API responses within UI workflows.
• Strong understanding of web fundamentals (DOM, HTTP, browser dev tools, component-driven development).
• Experience integrating Playwright/Jest test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
• Working knowledge of Docker-based environments for consistent test execution across environments.
• Basic knowledge of cloud services (AWS S3, Lambda, CloudWatch) as it relates to testing web and API integrations.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and communication skills; ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications:
• Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter or Artillery.
• Experience with ETL and data pipeline testing (Glue, KNIME, ADF, SSIS).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Understanding of security and compliance testing in cloud environments
