Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) is the Premier Deemed University under the Department of Defence Research & Development, Ministry of Defence, Government of India. DIAT (DU) is specialized in the training of officers of Indian Armed forces (Army, Navy & Air Force), Paramilitary forces (CRPF/BSF/ITB/SSB etc.), Coast Guard, Defence Research Organizations, IOFS (Indian Ordnance Factories), Defence PSUs (Like HAL, BEL, BDL etc.), ship building agencies like Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers, Cochin & Goa Shipyards, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders and armed forces of friendly countries (like Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, African Nations etc.) and other central and state government agencies.

Junior Research Fellow:

Candidates should complete BE/ B.Tech or M.Sc in Physics/ Electronics Science/ Applied Physics/ Optics/Photonics with a Valid GATE/ NET Score.

Senior Research Fellow:

Candidates should complete ME/ M.Tech/ M.Phil in Physics/ Electronics Science/ Applied Physics/ Laser & Elcetrooptics/ Laser Technology/ Applied Optics/Photonics/ Opto-Electronics and Optical Communication/ Electronics Engg/ Electronics & Comm. Engg with a Valid GATE/ NET Score.

Age Limit:
Candidates age must be maximum 28 years for JRF and 30 years for SRF as on 31-12-2020.
