Role Overview: As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to validate the performance, security, and functionality of web dashboards , mobile app, and IoT applications. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. This role requires a mix of hands-on automation expertise and a problem-solving mindset to enhance software quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities· Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API testing.· Build and enhance test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or Playwright.· Develop and execute performance, functional, regression, and integration tests.· Implement CI/CD test automation using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.· Work closely with developers and product teams to identify test cases, debug issues, and improve overall software quality.· Ensure test coverage for API endpoints, microservices, and cloud-based applications.· Analyze and report test results, defects, and quality metrics in a structured manner.· Continuously optimize test cases and reduce execution time through automation best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications· 3+ years of experience in QA automation testing.· Strong hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium for test automation.· Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript for writing test scripts.· Experience with REST API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automation tests into development workflows.· Solid understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies.· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug test failures efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications· Experience in IoT, cloud-based applications, or smart home technology testing.· Knowledge of performance testing using JMeter, Gatling, or Locust.· Experience with security testing and vulnerability assessments.· Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes for containerized testing environments.
