Roles and Responsibilities
- Reporting into the VP of operations and handling a team of 100+ people, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the maintenance of mechanical, utilities, instrumentation areas
- Ensuring effective control, start-up, and shutdown of equipment & utilities with required emergency procedures in place
- Planning and approving purchase of engineering spares, automation upgrades and engineering budget
- Ensuring the investigation of incidents and timely implementation of corrective/preventive measures
- Ensuring compliance to all Statutory and Environmental requirement of the site
- Ensuring growth and development of the teams working with you
Desired Candidate Profile
BE / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Full time) with 18+ years of experience in chemical, specialty chemicals or organic chemical industry. You should have experience of managing mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, utility and boiler maintenance across two or more plants with similar scale of operations.
You must have good communication and interpersonal skills. You must be adept in problem-solving, trouble-shooting and numbers. You should be a team player and a team builder. You should have an excellent track record in your earlier professional stint and be ready to take up new challenges.
