Job Description:

• Administration of Checkpoint Firewall and management for configuration/maintenance. Closely work with OEM/Vendor to identify and resolve security issues.
• Resolve issues related to Routing & Switching (Firewall, Core Switches)
• Regular Monitoring of Network/MPLS/ILL and recommend bandwidth optimization and best practices.

Desired Skills for the Role :-

• Hands-on experience with Checkpoint firewall 5000, 6000 series, Routing &Switching configuration and Administration.
• Having complete ownership for all Access and security policies with in-depth understanding of security blades, granular level configuration and troubleshooting.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Tier II ISP Routing Policies, Network Architecture, IP Subnetting, VLSM, TCP/IP, NAT, DHCP, DNS, FT1 / T1 / FT3 / T3 SONET POS OCX / GigE circuits, Firewalls Migration of all the PIX firewalls to ASA firewalls for DOT-NC
• Function as part of a Firewall and Security team in support of Checkpoint Firewalls, Zscaler Proxy, Juniper Portals, SecAuth, Open LDAP, and Active Directory.
• Migrated firewalls from ASA to Checkpoint. Also Drafted, installed, and provisioned ASA and Checkpoint firewall rules and policies.
•  Experience in handling Complex Enterprise network/ Data centre at multi-site.
•  Hands-on experience in working with multiple OEMs for Switch/routing and security devices of Cisco/HPE/Sophos/Juniper/Fortigate etc.
• Good understanding of IT Security standards, best practices and its implementation
• Candidate must have understanding of security best practices, Security compliance and standards like OWASP, OWASP Top 10, HIPAA, GDPR.
• Excellent analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues related to Network & security infrastructure.
• Candidate should have independently implemented Firewall policies preferably in a manufacturing IT setup.

Desired experience :

• Minimum 8 Years of experience in Technical support L3 in Routing, Switching/Security Domain.
• Should have completed some enterprise level IT projects like Implementation of Security infrastructure, Access and security policies for corporate/industrial IT network.
• Ability to demonstrate to team/management the security best practices and able to implement the same.
• Highly motivated and ready to take ownership
• Good written & verbal communication skills
• Must have worked in Enterprise IT security domain as L3 support or Administrator of Firewall/IT security Infrastructure.
