The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) is a Statutory Body of Government of India. It is responsible for achieving the planned and coordinated development of the Teacher Education System throughout the country. It has its headquarters in New Delhi, India. Online applications for recruitment to the posts of Lower Division Clerks, Data Entry Operators, Assistants & Various Other Posts are invited by the NCTE for the recruitment year 202012th Pass or Any Bachelor’s Degree i.e. B.A / B.Sc / B.Com / B.E / B.Tech / BCA / BBA Or Equivalent Academic Degree Holder candidates can apply online for this recruitment.

Job Type: Permanent.

Job Location: The selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere in India. All the posts carry All India Transfer Liability.

Salary / Pay Scale: Post wise details of pay scale are as under –

  • For Assistant and Stenographer Grade ‘C’: Level 6 (Rs. 35400 – 112400)
  • For Stenographer Grade ‘D’ and Data Entry Operator (DEO): Level 4 (Rs. 25500 – 81100)
  • For Lower Division Clerk (LDC) Post: Level 2 (Rs. 19900 – 63200).

Educational Qualification: For Assistant Posts Bachelor’s Degree Holders in Any Discipline Eligible and for all other posts 12th Pass or Any Bachelor’s Degree i.e. B.A / B.Sc / B.Com / B.E / B.Tech / BCA / BBA Or Equivalent Academic Degree Holders Eligible.

Experience (If Any): No prior experience is required for Stenographer Grade ‘C’, Stenographer Grade ‘D’, Data Entry Operator (DEO), Lower Division Clerk (LDC) Posts. However, for Assistant post candidate must have 02 years experience in general administration / establishment / stores / accounts in Central/State Govt., autonomous or other organizations.

Age Limit: The upper age limit is 25 years for DEO Post and 27 Years for all other posts. Reservation for SC / ST / OBC / PH /Women & Ex-Servicemen category will be as per Govt of India Rules.

Selection Process: Selection of candidates will be through online exam and skill test.

Application Fees: Rs. 1250/- for the Group B posts of Assistant and Steno Grade ‘C’ and Rs. 1000/- for the Group ‘C’ posts of Steno Grade ‘D’, Data Entry Operator and LDC.

No fee for SC / ST / PH / NCTE employees and Ex-Servicemen category & Women.
